The FPI (Full Polymer Insert) with Afterglow marks a significant innovation in our tactical insert range. This new version combines the trusted reliability of trigalight® with a phosphorescent daytime ring, designed to provide crucial enhanced visibility during rapid transitions from bright to low-light environments.
Our standard FPI has long been valued for encapsulating the trigalight® in a protective polymer sleeve with an integrated lens, offering robust performance. The FPI with Afterglow builds on this foundation by integrating a special phosphorescent compound into the daytime ring. This material charges with ambient light, and when an operator moves swiftly from a brightly lit area into darkness, it emits an immediate, temporary glow.
This unique combination leverages the best of both worlds:
- trigalight®: Delivers continuous, self-powered illumination, providing constant visibility in low light and complete darkness without external energy.
- Phosphorescent Afterglow: Offers a crucial initial burst of brightness, ensuring the aiming point remains instantly discernible during those critical first seconds as the human eye adapts to sudden changes in light.
