HIGHLIGHT YOUR SAFETY!

We want to actively help make the use of firearms safer in all situations! We highlight existing, weapon-specific safety mechanisms using various lighting technologies.

Despite the four clear and simple basic rules for the use of firearms, many serious accidents and even deaths still occur. In the USA alone, 500 to 800 people die each year as a result of accidents involving firearms. In addition, between 15,000 and 20,000 people are injured each year as a result of improper use of firearms.

These negligent discharges occur in both professional and civilian settings. Therefore, we consider all users of firearms to be potential customers, in any situation, whether training, cleaning or in the field.

YOUR DEVELOPMENT AND SUPPLY PARTNER FOR FIREARM SAFETY ILLUMINATION

swisatec works exclusively with firearms manufacturers, OEM partners and system integrators who want to integrate a permanent visual safety indicator into their products. We do not supply end consumers or gunsmiths. Our role is to work with your engineering and product team to develop, prototype and produce a trigalight®-based visual safety system that fits precisely into your firearm platform — without altering its function, handling or compliance status.

We support you from the first technical discussion: defining placement, integration geometry and regulatory requirements, producing functional prototypes for evaluation, and supplying series-production components once the design is approved. Every solution is platform-specific and developed in close collaboration with your team. Regulatory consulting for tritium-containing firearm components in your target markets is included as part of our standard service.

PRODUCT APPLICATION

Negligent discharges do not discriminate. They happen in training, in cleaning, in storage — wherever a firearm is handled without complete situational awareness of its condition. The swisatec visual safety system addresses this directly: by integrating trigalight self-powered illumination into existing firearm safety mechanisms, it transforms an invisible status indicator into a permanently visible one.

A loaded chamber, an engaged safety catch, a cocked hammer — these are states a user must be able to read instantly, in any lighting condition, without fumbling for a torch or relying on a tactile check under stress. With trigalight illuminating the safety indicator, the status of the firearm is legible at a glance, day or night, without any power source, switch or maintenance. The visual signal is always present — which is precisely when it matters most.

THE COST OF POOR VISIBILITY

Despite widely understood rules and decades of training standards, firearms accidents continue to occur at scale. In the United States alone, between 500 and 800 people die each year from firearm accidents, and between 15,000 and 20,000 are injured as a result of improper handling. These are not fringe incidents — they occur across professional, law enforcement and civilian settings, during routine handling, cleaning and training, not only in operational scenarios.

The common thread running through many negligent discharges is a failure of visual confirmation: the user believed the firearm was in a different state than it actually was. A safety mechanism that cannot be clearly seen — particularly in low light, under stress or in unfamiliar surroundings — provides far less protection than its designer intended. trigalight changes this equation by making the safety state of a firearm unambiguously visible, in complete darkness, at all times, without any action required from the user.

ACROSS ALL FIREARM TYPES

The swisatec visual safety system is not limited to any single firearm platform. The same core trigalight technology that illuminates the safety indicator of a service pistol can be adapted to the bolt-action of a hunting rifle, the cross-bolt safety of a shotgun, the decocker of a semi-automatic, the safety selector of an assault rifle or the cylinder release of a revolver. Any existing safety or status mechanism that a user needs to identify reliably in poor visibility is a candidate for trigalight integration.

For manufacturers, this flexibility means a single technology partner across the entire product range. The trigalight format — dimensions, activity level, integration geometry — is configured to the specific firearm and mechanism. No universal compromise is made; each integration is engineered for the platform it serves. The result is a system that enhances the safety of every firearm type it is applied to, without altering its function, its handling characteristics or its external appearance beyond the addition of a permanent, unmistakable light point.
